So I got roped into cooking at my parents’ house for Thanksgiving this year. I’d told my mom to leave a sink full of dirty pots and pans alone, and I would do it later – but my dad started doing them instead.

(in Korean) Mom: Why are you doing those dishes?
(in Korean) Dad: Because they’re here.
(in Korean) Mom: Daughter already told me she would do them.
(in Korean) Dad: It’s fine, I’ll do them…
(in Korean) Mom: Oh, leave them alone, she’ll do them later, she already said…
(in perfect English) Dad: But I can supercede her authority in these matters.
(no words) Me and Mom: O_o
(in Korean) Dad: Did I say it right?
