This is adorable on so many levels. It's so earnest! I love how he tried to be well rounded by describing one of his son's faults and how he overcame it. And how he tried to show how polite he would be by not unpacking until they discussed the room arrangement. And welcoming his roommate by playing the viola is too precious!The details are killing me! Cute papa. Maybe because I have plain old American parents who gave me lots of freedom and weren't involved in things like this, I see this as so cute and loving even though it's too involved.

That is funny, and so disturbing. I would not want a roommate to play a viola when I enter the bedchamber, or wait for me in the bedchamber, for that matter.
